Our Halloween

Halloween for us was pretty laid back. Just a pregnant girl eating a piece of candy for almost every piece that was given out... equaling way too much candy consumption! We can't wait until next year until we can go trick or treating with our little one.

But, we did have a great visit from our favorite cowboys... Woody and Jessie... aren't they adorable?!?

2nd Trimester

As predicted the 2nd trimester has been a lot better than the 1st. I have felt great! I had a lot more energy but unfortunately that still doesn't make up for my normal laziness. Here are the exciting events that have happened in trimester #2.

  • I first felt the baby move at 18 weeks (just a few days before our US)
  • Baby has been kicking like crazy ever since
  • Daddy still hasn't got to feel the baby kick, every time he touches my stomach he/she stops instantly - not sure what that's as sign of... I told Chad it probably means the baby doesn't like him :-)
  • Had our ultrasound on August 25th at exactly 19 weeks
  • Baby went on his/her first vacation (in the womb) on our trip to the Bahamas
  • Found out what true pregnancy cravings were and have ate way too many of these:
  • Yum!

  • Rocked out at the baby's first concert... Rick Springfield. Guess if it is a boy we might have to call him Jessie.
And now I am in total shock that it is onto the 3rd trimester. Time has flown by and I'm sure that this last trimester will too.

The Big Moves

The Cermak clan had a busy weekend. Mom and Dad Cermak sold both their houses and that meant there was lots of stuff to move! It was amazing to see all the things you can acquire in 20+ years in the same house.

We started with putting things in Mckenzie storage...

The moving couple, right after we just saw a mouse.

Then we traveled to Beulah to move the other house, the house I grew up in...

It was a tiring weekend for all involved (granted more so for the men who had to do all the heavy lifting), but we got a lot accomplished and are excited for mom and dad; and for all of their new adventures to come!!

Sorting...

Here's a look at my attempting to get organized for Baby D's arrival. We've been really lucky with getting hand-me-downs from family, however, I haven't been productive on getting it all organized yet.

So, here it sits in piles... (it is sorted by boy and girl clothes by size but that's about it). Wow it feels like I have a lot more preparing to do and only 15 weeks left!!!

Babymoon

Chad and I just got back from our last big vacation before Baby D comes.... our babymoon. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the sun and eating a lot. Just as a vacation should be, if you ask me.

Our first couple days were spent lounging on the beach in Palm Beach, Florida.

Then we got on the Norwegian Sky:

Most of our time was spent sitting our our deck or eating but we did make it off the boat on our stops at Freeport, Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.

Nassau

Great Stirrup Cay was neat because it is the NCL owned island that they have made into a private beach just for cruise goers. It was a beautiful beach

And busy

Our last days were spent in Orlando, we were close to Dinsey World so we drove to see that (which was amazingly huge), did some shopping and played some mini golf.

It was an amazing vacation!! Hard to come back to the real world but so glad we got to go and enjoy some alone time before this life changing event we call baby.

Seeing Our Bundle of Joy

Today was a great day!  We got to see Baby D for the first time. From the looks of everything on the ultrasound he/she is healthy without any complications; or as the doctor put it when she walked in the room "you have a perfect baby." It seemed like they took hundreds of pictures, so the baby should be getting used to being in front of the camera now.

And it was also a special day as daddy got to find out if you are a boy or girl?!? Mom decided to wait until you are born but dad wanted to find out now, so we made this card for only him to see (and don't worry anyone who knows Chad knows he can keep a secret):

Mom and dad think you look a little like an alien, especially in the 4D shots, but a cute one anyway :-) You sure are a mover too. You were wiggling around the whole time which was fun to watch! You really loved your little hand up by your face.

Almost halfway there until we get to meet you in person and we can't wait!!
