And the Aftermath...

I'm a little embarrassed to post this picture but I am humbled by all the love for this little girl. Everyone's generosity was overwhelming and we want to thank you for making Leah's first Christmas so special.

I'm hoping this will be the highest present count ever as everyone was just excited for her first Christmas, and this will probably be my last compile of gifts (it's not fun getting them all together after they are all over the house already). If you notice that small little toy tablet thing in the middle... that was mom and dad's only purchase and the rest was from some very generous relatives.

Daddy says our basement looks like a kids toyland.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
We have one special and incredibly lucky little girl on our hands!

Christmas Festivities (part 3)

And Christmas day was spent with the whole Cermak clan. Grandma and Grandpa made a yummy meal and we had a fun day of present opening and spending time with family.

The Cermak cousins...

The boy who has everything... it took till the 3rd gift for him to open one he didn't already have... oops, guess we should coordinate better :-)

Our Christmas princess

She really was yelling in excitement. Her cabbage patch doll named Leah.

Uncle Clint playing

Grandma filling the kids up with chocolate...

Ready to eat our yummy meal

Jerit spent the whole nap time putting this lego truck together. VERY impressive!! I don't think any of the rest of us would have that much patience.

More presents...

What a wonderful Christmas!!

Christmas Festivities (part 2)

Christmas Eve was spent as a relaxing day with our little family.

In the morning Santa came for Leah and Ziggy (there you go concerned aunties, I promise next year Santa will do a better job)

 Ziggy loved his Santa gift

Then Leah and Mommy started putting together Leah's new toys (while daddy played with his new toy)

Loving her new house

And the day ended with church and a delicious meal from Applebees (yes, sad I know! but what is a relaxing day if you have to cook)

Christmas Festivities (part 1)

Merry Christmas! Be prepared for a few long blogs of Leah's first Christmas and all the festivities Christmas entails. I'd go on record to say it was her best one yet. Mom realizes how much harder the Christmas season is having a little one around.

But, as tiring as all the present buying and activities planning is, seeing the smiles on the kids faces makes it all worth it.

Christmas season began with Dschaak Christmas:

Getting ready...

Dschaak cousins

Distracting the kids while waiting for the boys to come back after watching the Cowboys...

Grandma and Grandpa on the big screen...

Finally time to start opening...

Leah was amazed that Grandma and Grandpa were in the tv...

Finally getting excited over the presents...

Oh, Uncle Chad...

Big gift

And finally... finding out about their VACATION!!!! in 12 days...

Disney world maps

So excited!!!

And then home after a long day but ready to play with her new toys...
