Leah's Perfect Nursery

After much waiting, I finally got to see Leah's nursery and it was far better than I could have even imagined! So much thought and love was put into this room by Leah's Auntie Nikki and it will be the perfect room for her to grow up in.

We can't thank Auntie Nikki and Auntie Chas enough for doing this as a surprise for Leah and Mommy. Everytime I go in and look at it I just love it more and more. I keep noticing something new that was made or bought for her. Nikki was sure a busy girl making all these awesome crafts. This truly is the perfect room for her and I know Leah loves it because she slept so well in her crib the first night we were home!!

Here was the before.

And the after:

With a full closet of clothes already!

Isn't it awesome?!? Nikki you amaze me, really you should do this for a living!! Thank you - it meant so much to me and it will always be remembered as special surprise done for Leah.

Coming Home

Mommy and Leah were doing great by Saturday night, so we got to go home. We were really ready to get home, meet Ziggy and sleep in our own beds!

Leah screamed in the car seat for the first 10 minutes, but then decided it wasn't so bad.

Slept the whole way home.

Ziggy isn't sure what he thinks fo Leah yet. He comes over when she cries but besides that doesn't really giver her much attention. We know he loves her already though and he is going to be great with her.

Sleeping in her own bed.

Hospital Visitors

Thanks to everyone who came to visit Leah in the hosptial. She is so loved by so many people already. What a lucky girl!

I missed pictures with Jeremy and Healther and Shanda! But thank you guys so much for coming too. It really meant a lot to us!

Labor Day - Friday

Leah's Birthday 1/27/12: If there is one word I would use to describe labor it would be painful. However, it is true what everyone says that once the baby comes out, you forget all the pain and realized what a miracle you just experienced.

Friday morning I went into the hospital about 7 a.m. About 8:30 a.m. my midwife broke my water and then it all started... Contractions started to come consistantly every 3 minutes almost right away and didn't stop until birth at 5:32 p.m. - 9 hours later. I went in not sure if I wanted to get an epidural or not but thought I will take it one contraction at a time and see how it goes. It was hard but by time I got checked at about 4 p.m. and was 6-7, I just decided I was going to do this without one. After that thing went pertty quick. I was complete at 5 p.m., had a half hour of pushing, and she was here!

I have to give so much thanks to my wonderful husband who was a rock. I honestly could not have done it without him! Somehow he always knew the right thing to do to make me be able to get through it. I also had the most amazing nurses! I didn't get a picture with Mary but thank you to Mary and Trisha for being my labor nurses and putting up with me for 9 hours!

Thank you so much Daddy, you are amazing!!

I honestly couldn't be happier with how the day went resulting in this healthy, beautiful little girl. But, I am really glad that the labor part it is over! :-)
