Baby Shower #2

I had another wonderful baby shower this weekend put on my by my sisters - Chas and Nikki. They did an amazing job with all of the Christmas decorations, food and theme ideas for my Santa Baby shower.

I know that they put in a lot of time, work and thought to make this day so special for me and Baby Dschaak and I can't thank them enough. It was perfect! - If you need a party planned you really should contact them!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to celebrate with us. I am extremely lucky to have such great family and friends who could come and enjoy the day with us. The only thing missing was Grandma Dschaak, who was missed, but hopefully was enjoying the warm Arizona weather!

And as always, everyone was way too generous!! This isn't even everything (as I got some late gifts sent and delivered after I took this). But a huge thank you to everyone. I'm thinking this baby should have everything he or she needs now.  Well... I hope so anyways as I honestly have no idea what all a baby really needs?!? Guess I will find out soon enough :-)

Before

The major stuff for the nursery has been bought, so the door will soon be locked waiting for our own personal interior designer (Auntie Nikki) to come and turn this into a nursery.

Clothes are all washed and put away, one side for boy and one side for girl clothes.

So excited to get home from the hospital to see the magic Auntie Nikki will do to this room! Baby D is super lucky to have a creative aunt who agreed to design his or her nursery!

Baby's 2nd Concert

Unleashed / Bret Michaels

One of our really good friend's band - Unleashed - got to open for Bret Michaels last night at the Betty Engelstad Arena; so we had to go watch and support our favorite band.

Unleashed

Our friend Jeremy - Rocking it out on the drums!

Bret

Never thought I'd be going to another concert with a huge belly. But we had a great time and Unleashed rocked! Great job guys!!

Baptism Outfits

I was going to wait until baptism to show these but then I realized I would only be able to show the baby in 1 of them and I love them both; so I thought I would put pictures up of them up now.

A while ago (even before we found out we were expecting) I decided I didn't know what to do with my wedding dress. It was just taking up a lot of room in the closet. So I asked Grandma Dschaak to make it into a baptismal gown. She surprised us with making my dress into a girl gown and a boy outfit. She is incredibly talented and I really love how they turned out.

Here's the before:

And here's the finished products:

Thank you SO much Grandma Dschaak!! The outfits are absolutely amazing and I know Baby D will treasure whichever one he/she gets to wear.

Baby Shower #1

This weekend I had my first baby shower with the Cermak/Bendish side of the family. I had such a wonderful time and felt so incredibly loved. Thank you to everyone who came and to my sister and mom for planning it all. You two really went over and above to make it an incredible baby shower!

I really loved the time I got to spend with family and it just re-confirmed how loved and spoiled Baby D is already!!

Me at 29 weeks & Shell at 22.5 weeks

Mom and her sisters (if you can't tell from the family resemblance)

Thank you again to everyone for making it such a special day!!!!

Our Halloween

Halloween for us was pretty laid back. Just a pregnant girl eating a piece of candy for almost every piece that was given out... equaling way too much candy consumption! We can't wait until next year until we can go trick or treating with our little one.

But, we did have a great visit from our favorite cowboys... Woody and Jessie... aren't they adorable?!?

2nd Trimester

As predicted the 2nd trimester has been a lot better than the 1st. I have felt great! I had a lot more energy but unfortunately that still doesn't make up for my normal laziness. Here are the exciting events that have happened in trimester #2.

  • I first felt the baby move at 18 weeks (just a few days before our US)
  • Baby has been kicking like crazy ever since
  • Daddy still hasn't got to feel the baby kick, every time he touches my stomach he/she stops instantly - not sure what that's as sign of... I told Chad it probably means the baby doesn't like him :-)
  • Had our ultrasound on August 25th at exactly 19 weeks
  • Baby went on his/her first vacation (in the womb) on our trip to the Bahamas
  • Found out what true pregnancy cravings were and have ate way too many of these:
  • Yum!

  • Rocked out at the baby's first concert... Rick Springfield. Guess if it is a boy we might have to call him Jessie.
And now I am in total shock that it is onto the 3rd trimester. Time has flown by and I'm sure that this last trimester will too.
