Food

Leah's first real food she tried was squash...

She wasn't so sure about it...

 But it ended up being okay...

Now she's tried carrots, peas, green beans and sweet potoatoes. She's not loving any of them yet, I think she is ready to bring on the fruit :-)





Aunties and Paige's School Shopping Day

Last year the Dschaak and Wixo girls started annual school shopping trips. This summer got pretty busy so it ended up only being an afternoon with Chas, Tiff and Paige, but we had a blast picking out school clothes for this soon-to-be 1st grader.  

It was such a change from last year, when she could have cared less about clothes. This year she picked out her own dresses and wanted to try them all on. She is turning into such a young lady.

I'm not going to spoil what she picked out (on her own) for her first day of school outfit -- (it's super cute by the way).. but here are a few other outfits we tried on.

6 Month Stats

Our 6 month doctor's appointment went great (besides those fun shots that made her a little crabby the next day).

She's still a big girl, but it's proportional :-)... here are her stats!

                        Wt - 18 lbs 11oz (Wt for age - 86th percentile)

                        Ht - 2 feet 4 inches (100th percentile)

                        Head - 43.5cm (81st percentile)

Parade and Surprise Birthday Party

Last Saturday we thought we were just going to enjoy a parade with the family...

It was a beautiful, sunny morning..

 The kids were all excited...

 And ready to get lots of candy..

 

That alone would have been a great day.

But, then the day got even better because we were surprised with a super fun 'Hawaian themed' 6 Month Birthday party for a special little girl.

The birthday girl got a little crabby (it was nap time), but luckily she had some helpers for opening gifts

Which was good because she was very spoiled.

And then there was even a volunteer to try them out for her :-) I'm sure he was testing it for her safety.
