One Week Old

I can't believe my baby is already 1 week old. The time has gone by fast!

Leah has been an amazing baby this first week. It's crazy how she just fits into our family. It is like she should have always been with us!

From our first week we know:
  • Leah LOVES to eat! She has been a great eater since right after she was born. I have never once had to struggle with getting her to eat.
  • She is already a little stinker, twice today she has pooped in her brand new diaper that I had just put on within 5 minutes before. And boy is she noisy when she poops - you can't miss it!
  • She is doing pretty good with sleep. Most nights I get at least one 3 hour stretch of sleep. Besides that she eats about every 2-3 hours consistently.
  • Every night so far she has slept in her crib.
  • She has already melted all our hearts. She couldn't be any sweeter of a baby.

I can't wait to see what next week brings! It might be a little more challenging without all the help of Grandma and Grandpa D... hopefully it goes as smooth.

Show-N-Tell

Leah got to go to school yesterday! Paige asked if Leah could be her show-n-tell for school this week and it was great timing because the class was even learning about the letter "L". Thanks so much Paige for asking Leah to come... she sure is lucky to have a cousin who loves her so much and wants to show her off.

First Bath

Leah wasn't so sure about being unwrapped and cold. But once she got into the water she decided baths weren't too bad.

Meeting Grandma and Grandpa C

Grandma and Grandpa C made it to meet Leah the night we got home from the hospital. Leah had a great night snuggling with them until the late hours of the night so Mommy and Daddy could get some sleep.

Leah's Perfect Nursery

After much waiting, I finally got to see Leah's nursery and it was far better than I could have even imagined! So much thought and love was put into this room by Leah's Auntie Nikki and it will be the perfect room for her to grow up in.

We can't thank Auntie Nikki and Auntie Chas enough for doing this as a surprise for Leah and Mommy. Everytime I go in and look at it I just love it more and more. I keep noticing something new that was made or bought for her. Nikki was sure a busy girl making all these awesome crafts. This truly is the perfect room for her and I know Leah loves it because she slept so well in her crib the first night we were home!!

Here was the before.

And the after:

With a full closet of clothes already!

Isn't it awesome?!? Nikki you amaze me, really you should do this for a living!! Thank you - it meant so much to me and it will always be remembered as special surprise done for Leah.

Coming Home

Mommy and Leah were doing great by Saturday night, so we got to go home. We were really ready to get home, meet Ziggy and sleep in our own beds!

Leah screamed in the car seat for the first 10 minutes, but then decided it wasn't so bad.

Slept the whole way home.

Ziggy isn't sure what he thinks fo Leah yet. He comes over when she cries but besides that doesn't really giver her much attention. We know he loves her already though and he is going to be great with her.

Sleeping in her own bed.

Hospital Visitors

Thanks to everyone who came to visit Leah in the hosptial. She is so loved by so many people already. What a lucky girl!

I missed pictures with Jeremy and Healther and Shanda! But thank you guys so much for coming too. It really meant a lot to us!
