No, this isn't Leah coming down with the flu... it's her copying what she sees her mommy do. Baby #2 has made mommy kind of sick, lots.
Pretty sad that she knows to do this, huh? Or funny? :-)

Highlights of Baby #2's 1st Trimester
Here's a little recap of what's been happening with baby #2 during the first trimester:
- First sign of being pregnant: nothing really this time - found out with the test
- Day we found out: September 10, 2013
- Daddy’s found out by mommy leaving the test in the bathroom. She got home from work and waited for him to go upstairs to the bathroom... but he wouldn't go, so mommy had to make some excuse for him to go get her something... which he was mad about. Then he came downstairs and said "Congrats.. that's why you've been acting so weird."
- Nausea/Morning sickness started: 6 weeks
- Morning sickness was just as bad, if not worse, than I had with your sister
- Major symptoms - really tired and lazy. Good thing for your dad again however it is a little harder this time with you in my belly and your sister as an almost 2 year old running around
- Still not sure if mom is going to find out if you are a boy or girl??
Nothing too exciting to report in the first trimester but we are getting so excited to meet you and have you join our little family.

Surprising the Cermaks
We tried for an opportunity to get the Cermaks/Bryans all together to tell them at once. We had one 'almost' chance when we got together for Blake's birthday; however, at the last minute Grandma and Grandpa C. couldn't make the trip to the cities. So... it was on to plan #2.
Not really as exciting but still a fun surprise - these Halloween cards were sent to the Cermaks and Bryans sharing the good news of Baby #2 to come.
I don't think any of them expected this surprise when they got the mail :-)

(I had to make a couple because I liked the picture in the 2nd one.)
You are already so loved little one and lucky to have such a great family to become a part of.
Telling the Dschaaks
It was just as fun announcing our baby #2 to our families although we had to think of some new ways to make the announcement. Again, we had a difficult time getting the families together at one time so there are multiple announcement stories.
Our first starts with Grandma and Grandpa D. We wanted to tell them before they left for Arizona for the winter. They were staying at our house the week before they were ready to go back. I got some cookies ready to put into the oven and then went to sit on the couch and the next time Grandma got up I asked her to put the cookies in the oven.
She opened the oven up to this....
And replied along the lines of "Are you still wanting to warm this bun up?" To which Chad and I started chuckling and it followed by "Oh... are you trying to tell us something?" It was a funny moment and probably my favorite reaction.
For Aunt Chas - she takes Leah to the gym all the time with her. So I put Leah in the below shirt with a zip up sweatshirt over it and her jacket and sent her off to the gym. I expected Chas to take off her jacket and sweatshirt and waited patiently by my phone waiting for her call/text about the surprise. But... she brought Leah back after the gym saying nothing. So, I told Leah to take her sweatshirt off and she finally got to see the shirt surprise.
And for Aunt Nikki, Uncle Corey, Paige and Parker - we all went out to Chinese buffet together. Leah was wearing this same shirt under her jacket which I left on until Aunt Nikki could come take it off. She took Leah's jacket off and kept talking and talking and it took a few minutes to see the shirt after which everyone had to come back from getting food at the buffet to see what the commotion was about. Paige was really excited. Parker didn't really get it until about 30 minutes later when we were talking about it and he said "You are going to have a baby." :-)
Everyone is so excited to meet you baby and we can't wait for you to get here!!

Time for Baby #2
We couldn't be more excited to announce that.....
we are expecting Baby #2!!!!!
Baby #2's planned arrival is May 20th, 2014. We can't wait to meet him or her and have our little family be complete.
Mom and dad question if we are ready to have 2 little ones running around this house (we can barely keep up with just Leah) but are so happy that Leah will have a sibling to grow up with.

Blake's 3rd Birthday
We got to spend a fun weekend with a special little 3 year old. Happy Birthday Blake!! Can't believe you are 3 already. You are one cool dude and we had so much fun in the cities with you especially swimming at the waterpark!
Leah got to see Dora, Dora - she loved it!
Opening gifts...
A little bison fan!
The waterpark...
Leah truly had a blast. I think she went down the slides like 100 times. She loved that she was big enough to get down some of them all by herself.
