New Bathroom

Leah got a great birthday gift this year, especially since her mom is such a bad decorator. It was a new bathroom design for her and the new baby's bathroom. It was perfect since before there was nothing nice or kid related in there. Thanks Nikki for such a thoughtful and useful gift!!!

Leah's Surprise 2nd B-day Party

Mommy and daddy weren't going to have an official birthday party for you this year. Daddy doesn't think a big birthday party is necessary every year but apparently that doesn't fly with certain family members :-) So Leah got a surprise b-day party from the Wixos and Aunt Chas. It was a Bubble Guppies b-day party which is perfect because it's Leah's favorite show right now.

She's one spoiled little girl.. but sure a lucky little 2 year old! Thanks for the special day!!

More Gymnastics

Another gymnastics day... this time Aunt Chas was able to come with us so Leah could show off her moves :-)

It's time for... Potty Training!

Well we decided it was time to start the dreaded potting training. We wanted Leah to be trained before the new baby comes plus she's been showing signs of wanting to go on the potting - knows when she goes, wants her diaper changed right away, etc.

Here's how her progress went the first couple of days (then I stopped tracking).

Day #1 (only a 1/2 day after work):   01/17/14

0 - successes
2 - accidents

Frustrated mommy who wasn't sure if this was going to happen.

Day #2 01/18/14

Got up and first thing we did was get on the potty and she went! Yippee... gave mommy some hope to this potty training.

Overall day:

3 successes (2 pee and 1 poop)
4 accidents

Getting a little better I guess.. Here's a few more pics, we decided to go with the whole no pants potty training (as much as we could). She didn't mind hanging out without pants.

Leah's First Day of Gymnastics

We signed Leah up for winter gymnastics so she could get out of the house and get some exercise. She absolutely LOVES it. She is so excited to go and does a really good job following directions. Although most of the time at this age gymnastics consists of just letting them run around and jump on stuff. 

Doesn't she look adorable in her little leotard too :-) She can do a somersault now and is really good at saying her 'ta dah's. She loves getting stamps but her favorite thing is the slide into the foam pit.
